Dil To Bacha hai ji!

Yes,this is what I’ve been humming lately! So,how have you all been? I know I’ve been away for way too long. One month to be precise. No particular reason.Just the usual lethargy, lack of anything worthwhile to share, writer’s block, whatever it may be called.

I somehow lost my momentum to write altogether. Initially it was because of my domestic responsibilities that took much of my time. Once they eased up,I lost the will to write :(.

I tried to blog-hop hoping to get inspired, but ended up feeling intimidated instead, by the incredible writing of so many bloggers. As a result, I chose to shut myself out for a while. But that didn’t work either. Words simply refused to flow out of me.

So now, thanks to the pokes from many of you, I’m feeling the urge to get back to the blogging scene yet again. I logged in to my reader, about two days back, only to realize it was flooded…with posts! Seriously, people, why do you choose to write so much when I’m away?? Cant you just wait for me to be back?? πŸ™„

Anyway,as I begin to read you all again, albeit slowly, I realize how much I have missed the whole feel of it.

I’m still not sure if I’ve my groove back. So for now let me do something that I can do any day better than writing….share a song :).

  1. This is such a wonderful song, isnt it ? cant get it out of my head at times….especially, the rajkumar era hummng….amazing composition, amazing lyrics !

D: Vishal Bharadwaj and Gulzar are deadly combination πŸ˜€

So, even you are in that block now, huh ? Try doing a tag; thats the best way to come out of it ! πŸ˜€

D: Yes,tags can be a great tool to beat the block..let me see if I can pull something out and give it a shot..thanks for the tip,Vims πŸ™‚

  2. Gulzaar is just amazing. The ease with which he pens down lyrics. I also loved the rendition esp. the pronunciation of ‘sufed’. πŸ™‚

D: I love his style too. Mera Kuch Samaan is my all time favorite. The lyrics were metaphorical, yet so easy to understand. Thats what I like about him. I love the way he makes use of words like ‘chappa chappa’ or ‘anki chali bankichali’ or the more recent ‘ibn batuta’ πŸ™‚
Have you heard this song from Namkeen, raah pe chalte hai? Its lovely,Sols! Its another one of my favorites

  5. You have no idea how much i adore this song!! Gosh Vishal B simply rocks, he makes one iconic song after the other. I was floored by his chappa chappa charka chale from maachis, mitwa re from a lesser known movie ram balraam i think, then o saathi re from omkara, dhan te naan from kaminey and now this!! Some talent he has! Strangely hes much of an underdog still and has nt been elevated to the status of an ARR. I think he is no less in talent compared to the mozart of Madras.

D: Of Course not! I dont think we can compare ARR & Vishal Bhardwaj! Both have their own style of making music. While ARR,I feel, concentrates more on the technical aspect by experimenting with different sounds. Many a times lyrics do not stand out in his music. But his music sure does. While Vishal Bhardwaj prefers to be more raw,and earthy and he has a way of bringing out the beauty of the lyrics by way of his music.

    1. Firstly, it is a ridiculous question to ask. I dont think anyone will be glad to see his/her teenage daughter come home pregnant.
Secondly what you asked is not relevant to what I commented on IHM’s post.

      1. Anon are you trying to sell a stupid movie that failed to raise the curiosity of people here in USA? Whether the girls in Gloucester mad a pact or not…it doesn’t change the truth IHM wrote on her blog or our comments.
