You get an inkling that you are absent-minded…

When you forget to take wet clothes out of the washing machine and keep them lying there for one whole day.

But……

Its when you realize those clothes were never washed in the first place because you completely forgot to press the ‘START’ button, that you know for sure you’re daft.

Or does it mean you’re getting old??

  1. LOL! I once put clothes in the washer, turned it on (I was smart, eh!) and then forgot about it. I mean completely memory erosion about them. Now we are looking for a particular shirt, not in the not on hangers, ironing pile, not in the hamper……we declared it lost. After two days I again start my laundry and see a load full there!! All wrinkled and a soggy, musty mess. Wash them again in the washer and then forgot to transfer them in the dryer….oh well!!

D: That was hilarious! Sorry, but couldn’t help laughing my heart out reading your experience :). LOL @ memory erosion. Welcome to my space πŸ™‚

  5. lol!!! Time for automating the washing machines further! Once it has been loaded it shud now say “Put me On” πŸ˜‰

D: Couldnt agree with you more, Smita. Talking of further automating of machines, there needs to be a feature to get the clothes folded also right after washing. What a blessing it’d be then! πŸ˜€

Not ur fault at all πŸ˜€

  12. ROFL!!! I leave clothes inside the machine for days together, without drying them out. The only time I take them out of the machine is when the laundry bag can hold no more dirty clothes!! And I don’t even feel guilty about it :-))))

  13. Deeps my sympathies….but u cant compete with me. I’ve done the above many times but chk this out…I wash the clothes, take it out…stop half-way taking it out & think hard….trying to recall u see…if I put the washing pwdr before switching it on.
After 5 minutes I still dont remmeber…then I squint at each item to see if its clean……after 5-10 mins I give up coz but I cant make out…
then I start smelling each item of clothing….sniffing hard to get the whiff of fabric softener or something.

D: Know what, Nance, sniffing is what I had to do too to find out the clothes were not washed! *same pinch* πŸ˜€

Then I give up….coz I already knw I didnt add the pwdr but was hoping a miracle happened 😦
